Integers are either positive (+) or negative (-). |

The bigger a positive number is the larger value. (+ 9) < (+ 11) or (+ 12) > ( +4) Another way of thinking of this - the further a positive number is from zero the larger it is in value. |
The bigger a negative number is the smaller the value. ( - 5) < ( - 3) or ( - 15 ) > (- 12) Another way of thinking of this - the further a negative number is from zero the smaller it is in value. |
