Two-Step

Equations

Two-Step Equations are actually one-step equations done twice.
If you can solve one-step addition or subtractions equations and one-step division or multpication equations, then you can solve two-step division or multipication equations.

If you forgot how to solve one-step equations, go back and review them.

Examples of two-step equations:

3h + 4 = 16

2c - 7 = 21

k/4 + 9 = 21

m/3 - 5 = 22

2/3b + 7 = 21

3/4p - 4 = 25

3 h + 4 = 16

- 4 = - 4

3 h = 12

3 h / 3 = 12 / 3

h = 12 / 3

h = 4

m / 3 - 5 = 22

+ 5 = + 5

m / 3 = 27

3 x m / 3 = 27 x 3

m = 27 x 3

m = 81
